Hello Everyone and welcome!
We are now into October and most of us are wondering where has the summer gone? Right? We might even be thinking what have we done since the new year? We only have 3 months left of this great year yet have we reached our goals? Where are we with that?
I have had a hectic year… like so many of you out there. We have been faced with challenges that we had set for ourselves and we have also received challenges that were unexpected to say the least.
Writing blogs has been a good source of joy for me throughout the year. It has been quite a journey finding topics, but once I am set it is a bit like meditating. I’ve realized that I have lots of ideas that I want to share with you and since we have only thirteen weeks left in 2016, I know exactly what to do with them.
If you’re reading this blog, that means that you’ve been wanting to quilt. Perhaps you have started already and have many unfinished projects. I have always loved helping beginners in my quilt shop to get started and helping them through the main pitfalls. And now I want to share with you those 12 crucial steps for a successful quilt project:
- Understanding your pattern
- Organizing your work space
- Good pressing
- Precise cutting
- Precise quarter inch seam allowance
- Taking the right measurements
- Assembling the blocks together
- Adding the borders
- Making the sandwich
- Adequate Quilting
- Adding the binding
- Making the label
Sew keep on coming back to my blog every week to find out more about each crucial step. Please don’t hesitate to send me your comments, I will be happy to correct or clarify some points.
