If you are looking for something to do over the weekend I might suggest heading over to Vermont!
This is THE weekend to go if you are a quilter! You have to go to the Vermont Quilt Festival in Essex Junction. And you will have many surprises. This year, they are celebrating their 40th anniversary and Ruth B. McDowell is their special exhibit along with a variety of antique quilts in the Miller North building. There will be 200 quilts featured in the competition located in the Miller South building and this year they were happy to notice a record breaking number of quilts from Quebec! Can’t wait to see them all starting Thursday night!
And since you are there, stay for a night and head south on route 7 to Shelburne Museum you will have the pleasure of seeing a great museum with a great quilt section! But that’s not all!
Dominique Ehrmann is the featured artist with her first solo exhibit!
I went there last weekend and I was so proud to see my friend’s work so nicely presented in these beautiful grounds! And I kind of feel bad as I want to give you every juicy detail of this great exhibit but I know very well that if I tell you everything than you will not want to go! So please go and see the exhibit and leave me a comment telling me what you think! We can share our joy then!
